The Best of essence Cosmetics

Wednesday 21 June 2017
essence Cosmetics has quickly become one of my favourite brands. I remember spotting it at Shoppers Drug Mart a few years ago and I was initially unsure of it. I think it was the gel liner and maybe a lip liner! Either way, I realized that I needed to try more. Years later, many of my staple products come from essence. It's a cruelty free brand if that is something you value. If you are curious to see more, you can see my essence Cosmetics video playlist on my YouTube channel.

If you're planning on attending Gen Beauty this weekend in Toronto, be sure to stop by the essence booth. I'll be there too! There will be lots of great opportunities to check out what's new from them, and of course leave with some goodies.
essence Cosmetics makes absolutely amazing mascaras, if you try anything from the line start there. Brand new to them is the essence Lash Princess Sculpted Volume Mascara . This is no different, tons of volume and length without being clumpy. Generally I like to wear 2 mascaras but this does a great job on it's own and builds nicely. It retails for just $4.99.
Also new to the line, and my new OBSESSION is the essence Eyebrow Gel Color and Shape a brow pomade that retails for $3.99. The only downside is it comes in one shade, but I feel like if you have light brown hair to black hair you could potentially make it work. It is cool toned and buildable. My favourite thing about it is that it's buildable. Some brow pomades can be so hard to work with and thick but this is just so easy to work with. I have an amazing brow day everytime I use it! I also love it in combination with the essence Lash and Brow Gel Mascara . Retails for $2.99 and is a clear gel, not too sticky and doesn't leave my brows looking shiny or crunchy.
A good eyeliner, that is easy to use and long lasting can be hard to find or hardly affordable. The essence Superfine Waterproof Eyeliner is a great option if you like a pen style, felt tip. Super black, long lasting and only $2.99 so when it's time to refresh it doesn't break the bank!
The essence Glow Must Go On Bronzing and Highlighting Palette retails for $9.99. It contains 2 eyeshadows, a bronzer and highlight. The eyeshadows are nothing special, but the two face products are beautiful! I use them both as highlights and they give an amazing glow, with no glitter. Highlights at the drugstore are hard to find so this palette is a must have.
The essence Matt Matt Matt lipsticks are a part of the Spring 2017 line, but luckily they are permanent. I have a full lip swatch video if you'd like to see them in action. Pink Up Your Life is one of my favourite shades, such a vibrant pink but still so wearable no matter the season. I highly recommend you pick up at least one shade, as always with essence the price is amazing, 3.99.

If you're looking to try essence Cosmetics, it's available at Shoppers Drug Mart!
