The Balm What's the Tea Palette Swatches
The Balm Cosmetics is a brand that holds a special place in my heart, one of my first palettes ever was The Balm Nude Tude! Everything they do is super cute but not too childish or a gimmick like some brands can tend to do. Most recently they launched The Balm What's the Tea Eyeshadow Palettes in Hot Tea and Iced Tea to satisfy your warm or cool toned needs! Both palettes contain a light toned and black eyeshadow base as well, I'll get to that at the end of the post. They can be found on The Balm website for $36USD or on Amazon (which ships to Canada for less than their site). Currently on Amazon the Iced Tea Palette is half price!
The Balm What's the Tea Iced Tea Eyeshadow Palette
The Balm Iced Tea Palette really intrigued me, I'm normally more into a warm toned palette but I feel like this is super balanced and ironically not too "icey". The shades "The Buzz" and "He Said, She Said" are my faves! If you want to see this palette in action I posted a tutorial on my Instagram

The Balm What's the Tea Hot Tea Eyeshadow Palette
The Balm Hot Tea Palette contains the warmer of the shades but in my opinion for something called "hot tea" and as a warm shade lover I could use some more heat! That being said, there are a ton of palettes on the market with warm browns and oranges so perhaps these palettes are trying to not be too warm or too cool on either end which I can appreciate.

Overall, I really do like both of these palettes. They both have interesting shades that I don't already have which isn't easy with my large makeup collection. The eyeshadow bases are a miss for me, I hate when there are creams in my powder palettes with no protection - it's a potential for a real big mess. The texture is a little stiff and I'd rather use an eyeshadow base I already know and love or my concealer over them. Give me more shadows over bases.

Fenty Afternoon Snack/Mo' Hunny Highlighter
I cannot tell you how much I love the Fenty Mean Money/Hu$tla Baby Killawatt Highlighter. I've hit pan which is HUGE for me, I travel with it and it's also falling apart and I've taped it up with painters tap - the love is real. I hadn't tried any of the other shades so I was excited when Fenty sent me their latest shade, Afternoon Snack/Mo' Hunny!
Fenty Afternoon Snack/Mo' Hunny Swatch
Fenty Afternoon Snack/Mo' Hunny is described as a "soft bronzed champagne sheen / supercharged bronzed champagne shimmer" and retails for $36USD/$48CAD. It contains 7g of total product, 3.5g of each which isn't a ton but I love the duality of having two different shades.
Fenty Afternoon Snack/Mo' Hunny vs Mean Money/Hustla Baby
The original shade I mentioned Mean Money/Hustla Baby is perfection in that it has a more satin shade and a more bright shade that look amazing both combined and separately. I will say however in this latest shade I'm lacking that a bit, the satin shade isn't as natural and the bright shade is slightly more shimmery not to say it's bad by any means but I like Mean Money more!
Fenty Highlighter Swatch Comparisons
No matter the shade I think there's something for everyone in this line and I now wish every highlight came with a more satin and a more bright side, just makes it so much more versatile!
