New to the Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting line is the Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Brow Palette. It's sold at Sephora and Make Up For Ever counters for $42 USD/ $52 CAD. Available in 2 shades, Harmony 1 (blonde to dark brown) and Harmony 2 (brown to black).
This palette comes with 3 matte powders that go from light, medium to dark, in brown or more blonde depending on the kit you purchase. It also includes a clear wax, matte cream coloured cream highlight and a small brush that has a spoolie on one side and angled brush on the other.
The palette itself is very compact and sleek, great for travel! I think the brush is actually worth while, not a throw away brush a lot of companies mindlessly throw in compacts. The powders themselves are completely matte, no shimmer or glitter and are somewhat dry. If they were eyeshadows that may not be a positive but for the brows I love the formula. If you get something with too much fallout, too "creamy" it would be harder to work with in my opinion. The dryer texture allows you to have more control and for better staying powder.
The clear wax is a nice texture too, not too creamy or stiff. I've used it both before the powder or after to set the powder. It has good staying power, but if you have very unruly browns it may not 100% keep thing in place. It did a good job on my brows but I still like the security of a brow gel. I'm torn about the highlight, it's a cream .. the colour is great for my skintone. If you are quite pale the shade may be too deep. But the fact that it's a cream leaves me needing a powder to set it. A powder on it's own may not have enough impact. If they are going to make it compact and travel friendly, that is my only issue. I do love the cream texture and colour, but I can't just leave it without reaching for a matte powder to put over it.
Overall I really like this palette, it has great quality and is very user friendly for beginners or pros. It is however a quite high price tag. Can you get other brow products that are great at a lower price point, absolutely. BUT Make Up For Ever is a highly respected brand in the professional makeup industry and leads the way in a lot of makeup innovation - so you'll end up paying for that. The quality is there for sure.
